Disc Brake Caliper
The process typically involves a complete restoration of the unit to ensure it functions as effectively as a new component:Full Disassembly: The caliper is completely stripped down to its core components.Deep Cleaning: Parts are thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, debris, and old brake fluid. The workshop also offers soda and sandblasting for engine and automotive parts if a deeper cosmetic and functional strip is required.Component Replacement: All rubber seals and dust boots are replaced. If pistons are worn, pitted, or corroded, they are typically replaced with new units.Re-Sleeving: For calipers with significant internal wear, the workshop specializes in re-sleeving cylinders with zinc-plated stainless steel to create a durable, smooth new surface.Refinishing: The team can provide powder coating for automotive components to provide a long-lasting, professional finish.Testing: Reconditioned units are pressure tested to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards before being reinstalled or returned to the customer.
